This Sky Original movie is a coming-of-age story that centres on George, a sixteen-year-old boy who dreams of being a musician but no one else seems to agree. When Max, the son of a famous musical pair, enrols at his school and shows an interest in his music George can’t believe it. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, this movie scores a near-perfect 96% Tomatometer rating telling you all you need to know…it’s a must-watch. The film is considered one of the greats and follows the adventures of Frank Abagnale Jr – a conman who has passed himself off as a doctor, lawyer and pilot all before his 21st birthday. If you’re a Tom Hanks fan, you’re in luck as this June another classic movie starring the Hollywood legend is coming to Sky Cinema. Forrest Gump is the film that gave us a load of iconic lines including “Run, Forrest! Run” and the life is like a box of chocolates analogy. In a slight change of pace, anyone for a musical? It’s hard to believe but this movie was released over forty years ago with it going on to become the highest-grossing musical film at the time. Grease follows the lives of leather-clad Danny Zuko and Australian exchange student Sandy, who have a summer romance before discovering they’re now both attending the same high school. This action movie sees Jason Statham star as Jonas Taylor, a scientist who leads a research team on a dive into the deepest areas of the ocean. But it’s not long before the exploration spirals into chaos, as the team race to outrun the Megs – a now-extinct species of shark regarded to have been one of the most powerful predators. And now one for the whole family, this 2008 animation follows the adventures of Po Ping - a panda (voiced by Jack Black) who unexpectedly is chosen as the protector of the Valley of Peace and joins the world of kung fu. But before long, his newfound skills are put to the test as the valley’s arch-enemy Tai Lung is on his way and Po has to defend everyone from the incoming threat.
