  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Hole punch
  • Brad

Directions

Download the pencil template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the lead tip to the top of the pencil top piece.

Glue the completed tip to the front of the book piece.

Next, glue the eraser to the bottom of the front of the book piece. Place the metal band above the eraser and glue it in place.

Position the book title in the middle of the pencil.

Take the blank page or writing page and glue it to the middle of the back of the book piece.

Place the two pencil pieces together and hole punch them in the middle of the lead tip. Push a brad through the hole and spread the brad along the back side.
