Critics Consensus
Still as bracing as a punch to the face and invigorating with its vivid worldbuilding, Invincible is practically impervious to disappointing audiences in this sterling sophom*ore season.
Jacob B While I still like the second season. There is a part of me that just feels disappointed. Maybe it's because Amazon chose to split it into 2 parts but I just finished this season underwhelmed. The passing is also slower witch in itself isn't a bad thing but get's more noticeable upon reflection. Also the beside The Guardians of the Globe, the other side character's really don't do that much to the point were i feel like some could be cut entirely from the season and it wouldn't make a difference. And the villain this season completely sucks. Because he is barley present in this season. And while that is because he is recovering. once he shows himself to Invincible (IN THE FINAL EPISODE) he dies in 20 minutes. And yes even though Invincible didn't learn the truth about Omni-Man till the season 1 finale they still built it up across the season which leads to a memorable final battle. Plus the season also chooses to copout and certain character death witch feels like the most MCU thing to do. while they are enjoyable character's that we get to see more of. It will just lower the stakes of the show. Also Hot Take but I found the Omni-Man plot line to be mid at best. I just hope that we don't have to wait another 2 years and for season 3 to be split in half because not only it dampers my hype for this season. But it will for the show as a whole as i will just wait to all of the episodes to binge it instead of watching 4 then waiting a couple months for another 4. 7/10 Rated 3.5/5 Stars •Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars04/29/24 Full Review Ava S The lack of Omni-Man looms over this slower-progressing season, but Invincible still packs a punch with multiple intriguing plot lines that'll likely be unpacked next season. Rated 4/5 Stars •Rated 4 out of 5 stars04/28/24 Full Review Joe J Season 2 delivered as much as season one did. My only gripe this season was the splitting of the season Rated 4.5/5 Stars •Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars04/25/24 Full Review Pedro Henrique C The beginning of the episodes is a bit sleepy but after ten minutes things start to improve a lot. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars04/24/24 Full Review itz L Terrible decision to break into two parts. I don't feel like this season picked up as much momentum as the last one. Regardless, it was still a good watch. Rated 4/5 Stars •Rated 4 out of 5 stars04/24/24 Full Review Corey W While the worldbuilding of Season 2 continues to impress, it does dwarf the finale in a way that feels unsatisfying. It's clear that the second iteration exists expressly to set up the third, but the journey there was high octane and always surprising with some of the most beautiful animation around. Invincible is still a heavyweight in the world of adult animation. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars04/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

The second season is currently sitting at an impressive 100% critics score. I'm in absolute agreement with that opinion; this is one of the strongest seasons of a superhero show out there. In March 2021, Amazon Prime released an animated series based on the popular Invincible comic book series from Image Comics.
And yes...it's super woke, but so what? It didn't affect the main story line and the connection between the characters. Just keep in mind that this is an adult show due to the violence. 9/10 for the great voice cast and good story.

Oliver became Kid Omni-Man in the comics. He was slightly less powerful than Mark, but still a dangerous weapon that Mark got worried about when he trained the boy.
Mark's powers popped up just a few years before where we are in the current TV continuity. So he's weak because he's still developing. The other factor here, which is probably the more confusing one to delve into, is the half-human part. Right now, that definitely makes him weaker than Anissa, his father Omni-Man (J.K.
Omni-Man is over 2,000 years old, but his physical appearance suggests he is in his 40s or 50s due to his Viltrumite genetics and slower aging process.
Omni-Man originally came to Earth to conquer to planet, not protect it, but he evolves throughout the comic series to become a true hero of the planet.
Omni-Man would eventually reveal his plans and battled his son after killing the Guardians of the Globe, but would leave the planet due to his love for his son. Nolan would redeem himself and become the emperor of Viltrum after his true heritage was revealed.
Omni-Man's final words of "I miss my wife" in Invincible Season 2 show a major shift in his character towards redemption. Angstrom Levy's fate in Invincible Season 2 may not be as it seems, as the comics offer a different path for the character.
Fans of the comics know that Angstrom Levy isn't actually dead after Mark seemingly beats him to death, with Angstrom calling inter-dimensional doctors to aid him. This allows Angstrom to return and keep plotting to kill Mark, with this storyline most likely occurring in season 3.
Though Atom Eve has demonstrated the ability to override her mental blocks in life-threatening situations, she remains fragile and her immortality, triggered by trauma, may be her biggest weakness.
In the earlier portions of the story, Invincible could not kill Omni-Man, even if he tried hard. However, by the end of the comics, he surpassed his father and became capable enough to kill him, evidenced by how he eventually managed to kill Thragg, who was considerably stronger than Omni-Man.
Omni-Man, while initially stronger than Invincible, is still outclassed by a few other Viltrumites in terms of power and strength. Thragg, the Grand Regent, is the strongest Viltrumite and one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, continuously proving his might and even defeating Omni-Man.
Omni-Man Remains The Most Dangerous Character In Invincible
Omni-Man may have finished Invincible season 2 in captivity, but he is still the show's most powerful character. Despite his broken back in the midseason finale, he looks close to full strength by episode 8, suggesting he can heal quickly.
The news comes courtesy of the official Invincible Twitter account, which announced that Invincible season 3 is definitely happening, that it "should be sooner than season 2," confirmed Battle Beast, Titan, and Invincible himself is returning, and that "voice acting is already complete." It also included a quote from ...

We used the tropes of superhero comics to try and show you new things and different things. The ultimate way to play against type with a superhero story was to give it a finality, to give it a proper ending. In more ways than one, Invincible's conclusion can be described as a success.
How many episodes of Invincible are left in Season 2? Invincible Season 2 is eight episodes in total, split into two separate parts—all of which are now available to stream.
